Revolution! leaflet
On Sunday 23 November Counterfire is pleased to be hosting a day of discussion on the political crisis, imperialism and the rise of the far right
Politics is polarising fast. The Palestine movement has won the hearts and minds of millions, Starmer’s government is tanking in the polls, but it is stoking hysteria against migrants and the far right is mobilising. Meanwhile, Your Party faces real problems.
These dramatic developments raise vital questions for the left. Revolution! brings together key figures on the left to discuss next steps.
Speakers include: Tariq Ali, Lindsey German, Stephen Kapos, John Rees, Lama Qidan, Michael Lavalette, Chris Nineham, Kate Connelly, Shabbir Lakha, and more.

Sessions will include:
- After the ‘Ceasefire’: Imperialism’s Global Strategy
- What Sort of Party Should Your Party Be?
- Has There Been a Coup at the BBC?
- Marxism and Identity Politics
- Late Capitalism, Rearmament and Permanent Austerity
- Fighting the Fascists: Lessons from Revolutionary History
The event will be taking place at SOAS University from 12pm.
The full timetable will be announced shortly. There is a trailer for the event here – please circulate widely.
A free childcare facility will be available throughout the event, email [email protected] to book.
Please book now and spread the word.
