The extraordinary thing here is that John Rentoul himself appears to have posted this to YouTube. If I were him, I’d keep the interview quiet and pretend it never happened. Hysterical, self-justifying, personalised and apolitical nonsense doesn’t travel well on radio.

Rentoul’s ‘arguments’ are evidence of just how intellectually, politically and morally exhausted and bereft the pro-war ‘left’ really is. And the way Chris Nineham handles him is a lesson in how sometimes the best approach is to, politely and respectfully, let someone dig their own grave.
