Chelsea – Unite Institute of Cancer Research strike

Lab Workers Reject Poverty Pay
Staff at the Institute of Cancer Research in London will be striking over pay after rejecting a 3.75% increase. Workers across scientific research, laboratory support and site management say years of below inflation rises have cut living standards, with some earning barely over the Real Living Wage while the institute holds hundreds of millions in reserves and the CEO rakes in £400K annually.

Picket lines are expected at the ICR’s Sutton and Chelsea sites supported by Unite.
