The Party We Need: Join the Discussion
Next week hundreds of people are coming together in central London to discuss the way forward for Your Party
Your Party represents the best chance there has ever been to build a left alternative to Labour. Given the direction Starmer is taking Labour and the rise of Reform the project could hardly be more important. The announcement of the new organisation was met with massive enthusiasm. 800,000 people signed up to support. A scrappy launch and tensions at the top have raised widespread concerns and there is frustration at the way the internal process is being run.
There has in particular been little opportunity for activists to come together and have meaningful discussions about what the party should stand for.
In response to this some leading figures on the left have come together to hold a discussion about the best way forward for Your Party. The meeting is taking place at the Friends’ Meeting House in London next Tuesday night.
