Revolution! May Day Weekender, on 3 and 4 May in London, is well-timed to discuss a world in increasing turmoil and how we fight for change
As Trump’s tariffs threaten slump and military tension rises around the world, there has never been a time that raises more questions and challenges. The May Day Revolution! Weekender brings together a brilliant line-up of authors and activists to address them.

Two days of debate and discussion include sessions on Confronting crisis: Trump and the new world disorder; Party time? How do we get a new left organisation; The contradictions of Reform: Class, racism and the new right, and What is driving the genocide? Zionism, imperialism and the Israeli state.

Historical and theoretical questions will be highlighted in sessions on Was WW2 a war for democracy?; The politics of the English Revolution; Marxist economics in an hour, and Intersectionality and women’s oppression.

And more sessions still to be announced!
The weekend features an exclusive screening of Raoul Peck’s acclaimed film The Young Karl Marx, introduced by historian Kate Connelly.

There is a crèche available for the whole weekend, email [email protected] to book a space for your child. And the SOAS bar will be open in the evenings to relax and continue discussions.
