Lindsey German, national convenor of Stop the War Coalition, explaining on the BBC Jeremy Vine Show, why Western intervention in Libya under the cloak of the United Nations should be opposed.


A no-fly zone will have little impact on the civil war and is really intended to re-assert Western power in the region. It follows two months when the peoples of the Middle East have risen against the despots and dictators who have subjugated them for decades, with the support, aid and armaments supplied by the very Western powers now trying to re-invent themselves as humanitarians
