CND – ‘Nato in crisis: time to overcome the war machine’ online international discussion

NATO leaders met in Ankara this week announcing $50 billion worth of new arms procurements and a commitment to ramp up manufacturing capacity for even more lethal weaponry. Also announced was $60 billion in military support for Ukraine this year with a similar level promised for 2027. Noticeably absent from the nuclear-armed alliance’s final declaration was how the conflict will come to an end.


NATO members were also put under further pressure to commit to 5% of GDP on annual military expenditure. Read more here
