Cardiff – Unite Health Visitors strike
Health visitors at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board are striking, represented by Unite, over pay grading after the health board refused to award workers the correct salary for their qualifications. The dispute centres on staff losing up to £9000 a year, failure to follow the agreed job evaluation process, and the health board’s refusal to resolve the dispute despite pressure from the Welsh government. Industrial action will affect essential and mandatory appointments across the health board.
The strikers have also started a petition demanding the resignation of Hywel Daniel, Executive Director of People and lead negotiator for Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board for prolonging this unnecessary dispute.
Strike dates:
- Thursday 15 May to Friday 17 July
