Nottingham Counterfire network launched
- Published in Latest News
A very positive response was felt with guest speaker Elaine Graham-Leigh, a member of the Counterfire editorial board, speaking on the aim of the network.
Attendees included members of local groups such as Stop the War, Love Music Hate Racism, The Nottingham Refugee Forum, climate groups and students from both Nottingham and Nottingham Trent Universities.
After a talk from Elaine about Counterfire, also touching on the state and climate change, a discussion followed and plans were made for future Counterfire Nottingham public meetings and working with local campaigns.
The next public meeting to be held in Nottingham will be in May on feminism, with exact dates soon to follow - for more information email [email protected]
