Protestors blocked trafffic in sit down protests along the route to the Scottish Parliament and chanted against workfare and cuts reports Jonathon Shafi.

Hundreds of students, campaigners and trade unionists joined the Not Another Lost Generation demonstration in Edinburgh. The demonstration called by Scottish Students Against Cuts saw students from Glasgow, Strathclyde, UWS, Dundee, St Andrews and Aberdeen join Edinburgh uni and colleges in the capital.

The protest blocked trafffic in sit down protests along the route to the Scottish Parliament and chanted against workfare and cuts. Shouts of ‘not another lost generation’ and ‘students and workers unite and fight’ rang through Edinburghs main streets gaining support from passers by.

There were some brilliant speeches from student presidents, trade union representatives and various campaigns. All of them were united in saying that the resistance needs to escalate.
