Glasgow – Is revolution possible in 21st century Britain?
Revolutions are not a thing of the past. The decade from 2010 to 2020 witnessed mass street movements around the world. In some cases, these spilled over into revolutionary change, like during the Arab Spring. We’ve seen recent big explosions like Black Lives Matter or the global Palestine solidarity movement. But the record of what has been achieved is mixed. That’s also true in Britain. Despite mass movements, we still have a Tory-lite PM in Starmer, the SNP in crisis, and a recent wave of racist and Islamophobic street violence. How can we best organise to achieve deeper, lasting change? Join the discussion.
