An emergency delegation to Greece will be headed by Jeremy Corbyn MP and include representatives from the unions which have led the Appeal for Solidarity with the Greek People.

The Appeal for Solidarity with the Greek people has over 2,500 signatures. It has been translated into many languages and represents the beginning of an international campaign of solidarity with the Greek people. Click here to sign the statement

At an organising meeting called by the Coalition of Resistance and the People’s Charter and hosted by UNITE last Thursday it was agreed to send an emergency delegation to Greece from the 18th – 20th March. This delegation will be headed by Jeremy Corbyn MP and will include representatives from the unions which have led the appeal.

The purpose of the delegation is to meet with all sections of the Greek labour and trade union movement, and report back on the situation and how we can best support the Greek people.

On its return the delegation will undertake a series of public meetings to present its report.

Solidarity Protest on 29 Feb

The European Trade Union Confederation is calling for a European-wide day of action against austerity on Wednesday 29th February. We are supporting this by protesting at the European Commission London Headquarters at  32 Smith Square, Westminster, from 1pm to 2pm. Our slogan will be ‘Can’t Pay, Won’t Pay: Solidarity with the People of Greece‘. Click here for full info.
