This is the daftest war that the uk has ever been involved in. Afghanistan is an unruleable country by our western standards. No-one has ever ruled it with an elected government, nor is likely to anytime soon, we have tried in the past, France has tried, and more recently the USSR tried, all to no avail. Look at how we started off the problems for ourselves, all in the hunt for one guy, Osama Bin Laden.Has it been worth it? Have things got better for them or us? As far as I can tell this has all been about Haliburton's gas pipe line, and not a lot about freedom/democracy/terrorist threats. It's all a big lie. Leave Afghanistan to it's people.
