We face the most severe economic crisis in a generation.

The imperialist war in Afghanistan is approaching its tenth year.

Destitution grips the world while climate change threatens our future.

Fascists are getting organised while oppression—including racism, sexism, homophobia—still thrives.

Capitalism is the cause. But there is an alternative—a society based on co-operation not competition.

We have to resist collectively. Counterfire is an organisation which aims to learn from and build the movements to strengthen this resistance.

We need an organisation of international socialists whose aim is the fundamental transformation of society. We believe the working class can deliver this transformation.
